Media & Legal Communications

We tell our stories ourselves.

Why it matters

Afghan women must be the narrators of their own stories — not the Taliban, the media, or governments. Informing the public and discussing women’s rights, challenges, and achievements is key to raising awareness and gaining international support.

What we do
  • Produce independent content in Dari, Pashto, and English
  • Publish a multilingual monthly newsletter
  • Train young activists in writing, recording, and media security
  • Document movement activities with a human-focused approach
  • Respond to media distortions with specialized statements
  • Host live Spaces programs with domestic and international guests:
    • Conversations with women activists, journalists, and human rights defenders
    • Sharing real experiences and stories of Afghan women
    • Building a global network of support and awareness
Testimony

I worked for an international news agency. My report was cut to appear ‘neutral.’ Now I write for ourselves — no censorship, no fear.
