The Women's Justice Movement (WJM), in collaboration with the Women's Network Movement (WNM), hosted an online discussion on X Space titled "Rising Killings of Women in Afghanistan: Consequences, Causes, and Their Impact on Women's Lives." The event brought together human rights defenders, researchers, writers, and experts to examine the alarming increase in violence and killings targeting women in Afghanistan.

Participants expressed deep concern over the worsening human rights situation for Afghan women and girls, emphasizing that the growing number of gender-based killings is taking place in an environment where women are systematically deprived of their fundamental rights and freedoms. Speakers highlighted that restrictions on education, employment, freedom of movement, and public participation have significantly increased women's vulnerability to violence and abuse.

The discussion explored the legal, social, and psychological dimensions of the crisis. Participants stressed that the absence of effective legal protection, accountability mechanisms, and access to justice has contributed to a climate of impunity, allowing perpetrators of violence against women to act without fear of consequences.
