The Taliban’s Supreme Court says it flogged a woman in Kabul on charges of having an extramarital relationship and fleeing from home.
In a statement issued on Thursday, July 10, the court added that the woman was sentenced to one year in prison and 39 lashes.
The Taliban also flogged another person in Ghazni.
This comes as, over the past two days, the Taliban had also punished two other individuals in Faryab and Kapisa provinces on charges of having extramarital relations and transporting alcohol in public.
